This is quite the hidden gem! Especially the buildings on Birch Ave. Quiet, away from the highway, pet friendly. Our room was simply amazing! Had a small balcony with a bench, king size bed, loveseat, daybed, full service kitchen with cooking implements, dishes, coffee maker, microwave etc... Bathroom had a jacuzzi style tub with shower option. Just really can't say enough good things about our stay. They also serve breakfast with a good selection of cold cereals, yogurt. Not too many proteins but overall decent enough.
So worth it, a pleasant stay, it’s like a retreat, even though we reached the place at 1am the reception office walked us to our rooms, which was so clean, it was like an apartment, very spacious. Breakfast was really good. Definetly recommend staying here.
My room was warm and cozy. The atmosphere all over the Inn was relaxing. It was like staying at a friend's house. Breakfast was something different every morning but always included fresh coffee and oj. The owners were very welcoming and kind. At my check in, around 2am, the gentleman owner gave suggestions on how to get around and places to go. He called it "The Happy Traveler" lol. He was so gentle and sweet. I'm a solo traveler and the hospitality was greatly appreciated. Even if I saw no one on a particular day, it was still felt. Thank you, 7 Gables Inn.
Had a great time here - it's a small hotel but perfect for the solo or couple traveler, and I saw at least one family there. Was able to get about mostly by foot or bus, with time set aside to walk to the bus stops. Wish I'd made time to try the breakfast because it smelled great! If you're looking for something fancy, move on to any of the nearby resort villages. If you're looking for somewhere to sleep and charge your phone, this is good for you.
I came to Alaska to see the northern lights and the 7 gables inn had a beautiful room with a king size bed and a Jacuzzi bathtub the estate room was nicely priced for someone who decided 10 days before that I was going to book the trip and go
NOTHING was cooked for breakfast...more like left overs in fridge..butt still LOVELY inn very relaxing ...Xcellent entrance into inn ...downfall HOT showers ...DO NOT last very long
We loved this place! It was like stepping back in time. A very homey and peaceful place. Quiet no traffic noise. Inn keepers were very friendly and directed us on the best time and place for the aurora. Highly recommend, clean, quiet and friendly staff. It's not the Ritz with glitz and glam, it's a down home country feel with peace and quiet. Close to many restaurants, and not far from North Pole Alaska.
I loved my stay , place was cozy , clean, comfortable, me and a husband had a great sleep , a home owner was the sweetest lady , gave us lots of local recommendations, highly recommended to stay there ! Also budget friendly
